Just a quick one as I know some people on here know their stuff.
My sons pc is running XP and is having a problem.
Turn the power on and it starts to boot up to the XP logon screen, type in
password and it starts to load settings and then says its saving settings
and logs off
No matter what we do, safe mode or not it will not go past the logon screen.

He had antivirus but he is a little pain and always tinkering.. does this
sound like a virus or another problem.
Thanks
Steve

Hi

You might want to do a in-place upgrade:

Hello,

It sounds like you have a virus sitting on your
machine as your CPU is locking up 100%. Last but not
least, your son probably did something to cause the
machine to misbehave.

Ask him to find out what and if he did something to the
machine.

Good Luck,

Brian
