XP Pro

I am trying to re format my hard drive which originally
cam with XP Pro installed. I lost my OEM disk, so I am
trying to re format and re install XP with a retail CD.
When it comes time for me to put in my Product Key, I use
the one that is stuck on my CPU, the original. However it
tells me that the product key is invalid. I cant use the
retail CD's product key because it has already been
registered on another computer. So basically I have my
original product key stuck on my CPU, but is there any
other XP CD I can use with that Product Key, seeing how I
lost the OEM CD that came with the PC. Any help would be
appreciated.

The Product Key assigned to your PC will only work and unlock
the original OEM CD that was included with your computer.
Contact the manufacturer of your computer and request a replacement
of the CD. OEM and retail Product Keys are not interchangeable.
