XP pro vs. home file format?

Is there or was there a differance in file format. I heard that XP Home was
FAT32 and XP Pro is NTFS. I have Home edition with sp2. Dose the sp2
influence the format also? Thanks for your thoughts.

Both can have either Fat32 or NTFS, but NTFS is better. SP2 does not
influence
the format.

Both WinXP Home and WinXP Pro can read FAT12 (the file system used
on 3.5" diskettes), FAT16, FAT32, CDFS (the file system used on most
CDs), and NTFS with equal facility. WinXP Home and WinXP Pro can be
installed on either FAT32 or NTFS partitions; it's entirely a matter of
user choice. Further, the file system has nothing to do with the service
pack installed.

No and no.

I heard that XP
Home was FAT32 and XP Pro is NTFS.

Sorry, you've heard wrong. They are identical in this regard (and
in most regards). Windows XP, regardless of what version, can
acess NTFS, FAT32, FAT16, and FAT12 in any and all combinations,
regardles of what file system it itself is installed on.

I have Home edition with sp2. Dose
the sp2 influence the format also?

No.
