I can not connect via VPN to the workplace server. Error 800
My pc is straight to the cable modem, no router or hard f/w.
I can ping the web site.
tracert ok.
DNS ping works too.
I can not open the website in a browser, but the internet does work(no owa
though), nor attach a VPN connection.
Login name and password where tested on a diff pc at a diff location, VPN
established.
What's left to check>?

use telnet command to check if the port 1723 is open. For more and other information, go to http://howtonetworking.com.

I recommend Brinkster for web hosting!

I have six other remote users that are AoK, so it's just this one user.
1723 is open at the server.
Using Tcpview, I see where when the VPN is started, it opens two ports.
One marked as LISTENING(1723), the other as SYN_SENT(1228).The latter goes
to the ip of the server, the not 1723.
