XP Pro Upgrade

A charity I am working with is junking their 1998 machines for new ones. The
old machines came with Windows 98 that we upgraded to XP Pro. Is it possible
to get the new machines with XP Home and transfer the XP Pro upgrade on the
new machines?

Yes, as long as you have a "Retail Upgrade" version
Windows XP Pro license for each computer you wish
to upgrade.

I purchased an Emachine a few months back with Win XP Home and had to upgrade
to the Pro version by purchasing the $200 Pro package. That is only going to
work for one registered machine, I believe you would need a multi-PC license
to run it legally on more than one machine
