XP Pro Upgrade to WIN 98 SE

I am trying to install the XP Pro upgrade to WIN 98 SE and everything seems
to go well until I get to a screen that requires me to use my mouse to
select "next" , "back" or other items. My mouse will not respond and the
entire screen is frozen. Can anyone suggest a work around for this problem?

How about using another mouse? Preferably one with a PS2
connector.

You could also try using the Tab and Enter keys on your
keyboard to navigate. Use Shift + Tab to go back.
