I have been trying to get scheduler to run applications
like Outlook, Norton Virus with no luck. I can get
programs like Calc and freecell to run configured the
same way.

In the Scheduled Tasks window go Advanced > View Log and check if you
can find additional informations here.

The schedule job just will not excute automatically. I
can excute manually. Here is some information in the log

Started 12/12/2003 5:55:45 PM
"Symantec NetDetect.job" (NDETECT.EXE)
Finished 12/12/2003 5:55:56 PM
Result: The task completed with an exit code of
(65).
"Norton AntiVirus - Norton Schedule Virus Scan.job"
(NAVW32.EXE)
Started 12/12/2003 6:01:16 PM
"Norton AntiVirus - Norton Schedule Virus Scan.job"
(NAVW32.EXE)
Finished 12/12/2003 6:01:37 PM

This does not happen with all applications, if I got you right. You
may want to contact the manufacturer of the programs that do not work
for help with about how you can set up a Scheduled Task for the
software. You can also check the Properties for the Task, specially if
you set an "idle time" or the correct time for to run the task.
Also check the system time to make sure that the problem is not caused
by invalid settings here.
