hi
my xp pro machine was working fine. yesterday it froze, so i restarted it,
it then froze on startup, i kept restarting it and eventually i was able to
log in, but it froze a few seconds after this.

This morning i tried starting my computer again and got the error message...
ntldr is missing press ctrl +alt +dlt keys to restart... i could not get rid
of this error message, i tried doing practically everything i could think of.
In the end i managed to fix it by reconnecting my IDE cables. And my computer
loaded up prefectly, i did a system restore just to be on the afe side.

This afternoon i strted it up again. this time it did a check disk... and
found lots of problems which it looked like it was fixing. my computer
automatically restarted... and this time it got to the windows xp pro loading
screen, and then my screen goes blank. i've tried typing i my password and
listening for the log in noises... but its silent...

please help i've completely run out of ideas on what to do...

if i try and boot it in safe mode it freezes at "Mup.sys" and doesn;t get any
further... so i cant actually get into my computer... i also have alot of
coursework on there that i need to get off.. as the deadlines are approaching
extremely fast.
