On my new computer with XP Pro SP2 installed. Internet Explorer 6 won't allow
pdf files to download from a website - a red X is displayed instead. PopUps
set to allowed for the site. Added Acrobat and I.E. to Exception in Windows
Firewall. Now in the IE "Manage Add Ons" - AcroIEToolbarHelper Class &
Adobe PDF have a (Not verified) in the Publisher column - both are Enabled.
Also have checked in IE options to make sure that ActiveX files are allowed.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this? I tired with Windows FireWall turn
off - didn't make any difference.

Tried reinstalling Adobe acrobat reader?
Thanks - this worked.
The issue turned out to be with Acrobat Pro 7 as I had both Adobe Acrobat
Reader 7 and Acrobat Pro 7 installed. I unistalled Acrobat Pro 7 - then
Reader came up in I.E. without incident. I then reinstalled Acrobat Pro 7,
and did not accept any of the updates that it wanted to download and install.
On the orginial install of Acrobat Pro 7, I accepted the updates. There were
3 updates - I believe now that one of updates did not appear to have
installed itself.
