I have a client with a Dell Desktop with a few small problems.

I have checked support.microsoft.com and Dell but neither problems seems to
be in their knowledge bases.

1. When opening the User Account management screen it comes up blank. A bit
like a website that doesn't load. I get the Winfows frame and title but no
list of users and no list of functions.

2. This sustem appears to have lost it's help and support options.

3. MS Media Player crashes (I'll probably fix this by loading the latest
version at some stage.

Any assistance would be appreciated, other than reloading XP !!!

Regards

Justin

.

Hi! Justin!
Try:-
start > Run > sfc /scannow > ok
Also look at the event viewer. Start . control panel >
administrative tools > event viewer :-here you look for
error logs.
If doen't help go for a " repair xp"

You know, I'd do a hard drive hardware diagnosis, and also a RAM test.
I've seen at least 3 new Dells recently with bad hard drives and the
symptoms were similar to yours.
