I'm trying to install XP Pro on my self-built PC, but the system stalls after
loading the XP drivers: It manages to get to Setup Is Loading Files, then
Starting Windows. Then it asks if I'd like to Continue [Enter], Repair [F2]
or Quit [F3] at the Welcome To Setup screen. When I attempt to continue
nothing happens - no green light on my DVD Drive, nothing. It doesn't freeze,
it just doesn't do anything. If I press F3 I have the option to quit at any
time - even having left it alone for half an hour. I've also swapped out the
DVD drive with no change to the above.
FYI: System consists of a Tyan 2877 MB, 74GB WD Raptor, 2GB Corsair ECC RAM
and 2 x Opteron 270 chips
Any help would be much appreciated.
