XP Pro reboots in middle of defrag.WHY

I keep trying and trying but i cannot defrag my HDD
without my system rebooting. It is almost like a certian
file if causing it to do this maybe? Please help my HDD is
pitiful looking right now.

Do a disk check first. Try disabling everything you do not need running
including AV software during defrag? I use Diskeeper instead of the native
defrag software.
