I upgraded motherboard, CPU and memory in an XP Pro
machine. When I tried to boot from old drive, got a bunch
of error messages and no boot. Reinstalled XP on new
drive. Now need to "reactivate" XP Pro. No simple
instructions how to do this are evident on Microsoft
site. Any guidance would be appreciated. I still have the
old drive, intact, if there is something that must be
done with it.
A related question. Does "2 CPU" designation on XP
Certificate of Authenticity mean two CPU's in one
computer or (like Abobe software) two separate CPU's,
like a desktop and a laptop?
Thanks
