XP Pro Profile changes at Domain Logon.

My laptop is running XP Pro.
My office network is a Domain run on an NT Server machine.
Someone accidentally deleted my user account from User
Manager on the NT Server PDC over the weekend.
When I noticed this, I recreated my account on the server.
Now when I try to log in to my office network, My laptop
creates a new user name.DOMAINNAME profile instead of
using the plain user name profile I had been using
perfectly before.
I did a system restore back to Friday and it works until
I log out and back in again.
How can I get it to load my original profile again?

Thanks in advance

You'll need to copy your original profile to the new user account. You'll
need to log on as another admin user. Using system properties, advanced,
user profiles copy the old profile to the new profile.

I tried this and it doesnt seem to work. Perhaps I am
doing something wrong.
I logged on as an administrator locally to the machine
I copied the username profile to the username.DOMAINNAME
profile
When that completed, I logged in and I got a new
username.DOMAINNAME.000 profile. with new and different
settings again!

All I want to do is login with my plain old username
account. I dont want the domainname on my profile.

Please help me.

Ian
