XP Pro over 2K Pro

I upgraded my system with a new motherboard and moved a hard disk from the
old system. All it gets is the BSOD, so I installed XP Pro as a new install
but still get the Win2K option at bootup.

How can I remove the Win2k install including the option at bootup? I would
like to just get rid of all the old Win2k stuff since none of the icons,
desktop, applications ported over to the XP install.

TIA

Fairly simple, set the BIOS for cdrom with xp cd as 1st boot priority,hd 2nd,
(For installation),save & exit,boot to xp cd,at menu,press r For recovery
console,(at recovery screen,once its thru loading),disreguard the text,simply
type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete all the partitions,create one,press ESC
key,
type:EXIT Reboot to xp cd,select install,delete partition,create one,let
xp format
& install auto...

If the old installation is in the default winnt directory, and the XP is in
the Windows directory, just delete the winnt directory.

Thanks David, I took out the option from the boot menu and was wondering
about a recommended method of removing the old installation.
