XP Pro Optimization?

Hi Folks:

I know that I can turn things off in XP Pro on a network like file and print
sharing, unless that pc is actually going to be sharing something out. Aside
from turning that off, has anybody had any experience turning things off on
an XP Pro box in an Active Directory network? I am trying to lighten up my
XP Pro workstations and AD environment so that things run faster.

Thanks,

Walt

Disabling unused Services is a common trick and is useful for both security
and performance reasons. Go through the default services one by one and
decide if you need them or not.
