XP Pro on old computer - XP home on new one - how do I switch them?

I have XP Pro on my old computer, and the new one has XP
Home. I'd like to be able to have the XP Pro on the new
box and have the XP Home on the old box. Is this
possible? I have both computers networked.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I would suspect they are not OEM... at least not the one on the "old
computer"...
Obviously Tami you will have to confirm. But my guess is that an "old
computer" (all depends how old you mean) is unlikely to have an OEM of XP
Pro on it.

If they are not OEM then I would think it is just a matter of installing the
OS you want on to each computer.
It does, however, depend on how much of the existing set up you wish to
maintain. I do not think that XP Pro is going to downgrade to XP Home.
XP Home will, as far as I know, upgrade to XP Pro... but someone will
confirm that for you

If both are retail versions, yes. Just remove each and reinstall
where you want them.

But if either is an OEM version, doing this would be a violation
of the licensing agreement, which permanently ties the operating
system to the first computer it's installed on.
