I don't know what is going on, but EVERY time I need to reinstalll windows
XP on my desktop it NEVER is easy to find our home network.

It was working fine, and then I had to do a reinstqall due to some problems,
and now it WILL NJOT find our network. Everything is fine, I was online for
over an hour before reinstalling.

The conection setup I have is this:

Laptop&Desktop -> Hub, Hub - Router, and Router to modem. I've tried the
wizard several times, with a few diffrent connection options, and STILL it
dosen't see the network, OR internet connection. Even if I take the hub out.

Did you tell the wizard that you connect to the 'net via a Residential
Gateway?
If not, run the wiz again. Res.Gateway is MS-speak for a router.

Go to the computer that you are having problems. Try to ping its own IP
address. If you see time out - it is most likely due to a firewall.

My experience is that it is usually Norton Internet Security as it comes
with most hardware driver CDs. By default it blocks all LAN traffic.

Either disable it or go to it's personal firewall section and allow the LAN
IP address range to pass through.

Hope this helps.
