xp pro not loading explorer.exe

I have new dell workstations and 1 old dell workstation..
installed with windows xp pro and all updates and service
pack.. Novell client login 4.83 sp1.. user logs into
Novell ok.. gets login script ok.. user gets desktop
background ok.. but explorer.exe fails to load.. user can
do a reboot and explorer load ok.. but do a cold boot and
system does not load explorer.. anyone with any idea's..
please help

It sounds like an issue with the timing of the network
card drivers loading properly. Try reinstalling the
drivers for the network card and see if it helps.
