XP PRO Mapped Drives

Richard Bronson - Little RockAR

I have 7 xp pro units connected to a workgroup to share a
simple file folder. However, after reboot each pc will
drop its mapped drive to a centeral xp pro box. WHY?? and
what is the fix??

Are the systems using simple file sharing, if they are turn off simple file
sharing and when you map the network drive make sure save password is
checked see if this makes a difference

START>MY COMPUTER>TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW Simple file sharing is the last
option at the bottom of the list.
