XP PRO Licence key

I have both XP home and professional my computerers MBR
had files removed from the C Drive so I had to format and
re install XP. When I tried using my Xp Pro (back-up
copy) disk as I lost the origanal so I had to use my copy
which has worked before now it say that the licence key
is invalid any ideas what could be wrong. The home
version license key works fine and that is a back-up copy
also. Any help appreciated.

It would seem that your burned copy of WinXP has deteriorated.
