I have XP PRo on this computer currently. I want to take it off this
computer and put it onto another one. First is that I don't havethe cd we
lost it somehow but I was able to get the cd-key with that 1 program I saw
on here. Is there a way I can download it onto a cd then use the cd-key i
have or what should I do. ALso once I do find a way to isntall it how do I
unregister this computer

You mean un-activate and you don't do that, you simply activate on the new
computer. If it's been less than 120 days since you installed on the old
computer, when you activate on the new one, you will be presented with a
phone number to call. Call the number, tell them you've removed XP from the
old computer and that you are installing it on your new computer and they
will give you an activation code over the phone.

As to the lost CD, call the following phone number for a replacement, (800)
360-7561. There is no place from which you can legally download the CD.

Call (800) 426-9400, and explain the situation. If you registered your
copy, they should be able to give you a working CD for a nominal fee.
Alternatively, you can use someone else's CD (same type,
Retail/OEM/Upgrade/Full install) as long as you use your CD key.

As for the original system, format the drive that XP is installed on, and
you're legit.

If this is a retail version, not an OEM one (which may not be
transferred), then you need a CD of the same 'type' - eg Pro Upgrade or
Pro Full as you used last time, and which you can probably borrow, to
use with you existing Key number, which you have apparently got from the
system by program (if not, get the free Aida 32, enterprise edition from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Software -
Licenses page will tell you the one used for Windows and ones for
several other items.

You then remove it from the present machine - eg delete the partition
with FDISK - and install on the new. When it comes to activation, you
may find it will go through on the net anyway - if more than 120 days
since you last did it certainly will. If not, you will have to phone a
toll-free number that will be given, to explain and swap one long number
for another to check back as you type it in
