I really need some help. I have just finished building a new pc. I am in the process of installing WIN XP Pro but it when it reaches the screen that says "Installing Components", at "35 minutes" it freezes. I can't find the problem.

Does anyone please have any suggestions for me?

I really appreciate this, it' been bugging me the past week now.

Physically disconnect all peripheral hardware devices from your PC,
except your monitor, mouse and keyboard. Then go out and get two
PS/2 adapters and use them to connect your keyboard and mouse
to the PS/2 ports in lieu of using the USB connections, then proceed
with a "Repair Install".

My mouse and keyboard are PS/2. I've tried everything, from reinstalling all the hardware to checking the cpu to changing the ram. It still happens. I've tried to install WIN98SE but it prompts a "Enter Disk 1" screen. I've never had this problem before. They are all brand new parts. I've even checked the power supply, that's not the problem either. Could it be the motherboard?
If anyone has any other suggestion, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problems and tried all the things listed below, but I never
got XP to do a complete install. If you find the magic solution, please let
me know.
