XP Pro installation hangup

During upgrade of a network desktop running Windows 2000
to XP Pro the installation stops at "Installing WIndows /
Registering Components / 13 min. left" A pop up window
displays "The procedure entry point getIUMS could not be
located in the Dynamic Link Library MSDART.dll" The
installation appears to be running in the background but
does not proceed beyond this point.

What can be done to resolve the situation and resume the
installation?

Thanks for your help - rorth

"MSDART32.DLL" missing.
Reinstalling the program may not fix this problem. This is caused by
Windows XP improperly naming the msdart dll file. Download (save)
DARTFIX.BAT to your desktop and click on it. This will make a copy of
MSDART.DLL and name it MSDART32.DLL. It will be placed in the
Windows/System32 directory.

If the above link doesn't work I found this information here:

Thanks for the update on the XP install hangup. While
waiting on a reply to my post I went through the install
process 2 more times and on the 3rd try it installed
completely. I will hold on to your suggestion for future
concerns.
