I am in the middle of intstalling upgrade from Home to Pro. I get an error
regarding a vobid.sys driver. I believe I know how to fix the driver but I
can;t get into Safe of go back to Home edition mode to do it. How can I roll
back or start my pc so I can work on fixing this driver issue?

All advice I have seen says that upgrade from home to pro is 'iffy' - always
best to backup and do a clean install. Unfortunately you may be beyond that
now!

go into msconfig and disable all services except the windows installer. Then
try the upgrade. Some files are protected and this will make the writable.

Here's the opposite advice. It''s the easiest and most likely
successful of all possible upgrades, and very rarely results in a
problem.
