XP Pro home network problem

T

Tom Palmer

I have a network with external DSL modem, router and
hub. I am trying to set my desktop as the ICS. desktop
and laptop test machine can see shared files. laptop
cannot get to internet, or use printer on desktop.

It appears that the ICS cannot be enabled due to IP
address conflict...complains another client is using
192.168.0.1

thanks for any suggestions... Tom

Why use ICS if you have a router? Connect DSL modem to router to hub to
computers and go. ICS is only required when you don't have a router..
