XP Pro Corp CD and OEM Key

I don't have a XP OEM cd for my dell laptop. My HD died and I got a
new HD. The only CD I have is XP Pro Corp edition. I can't seem to
get my OEM key code to work on this CD.

Any ideas?

I am not trying to hack it or anything, I have the right to the OEM and
just want it back on my laptop.

And it never will, your OEM key is only valid for the version of XP
that came with your laptop, you will have to either contact Dell for a
replacement CD or purchase a new copy of XP.

Actually, there is no such thing as WinXP "Corporate Edition." That is
a term applied exclusively to pirated (iow, stolen) copies of the Volume
Licensed WinXP Pro by the "warez" aficionados.

I can't seem to
get my OEM key code to work on this CD.

Product Keys are bound to the specific type and language of CD
and/or license (OEM, Volume, retail, full, or Upgrade) with which they
are purchased. For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for
any retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and
vice versa. An upgrade's Product Key cannot be used with a full version
CD, and vice versa. An OEM Product Key will not work to install a
retail product. An Italian Product Key will not work with an English CD.
Bottom line: Product Keys and CD types cannot be mixed & matched.

Any ideas?

Contact Dell for a replacement CD.

You are not the most intelligent person around...you come to a Microsoft
hosted website asking for help in installing a pirate version of Windows?
Get a job and buy a legitimate version.

There is no such thing as a "Corporate Edition" of Windows. It is a
misnomer for "I own and illegal copy of Windows".

Your options are simple: buy a retail disc.

Because volume licensed version of XP are non OEM versions it is little
wonder the OEM key won't work with it.
