I recently re-formatted my hard drive, XP changed the drive letters on my
hard disks. I have a small partition on one of my hard drives (39mb) that was
placed there by dell. XP changed that small partition to drive C:/ I'm having
trouble installing software and updates because everything wants to
automatically install to drive C:/. This small partition used to be hidden,
is there any way to hide it again? Can I just erase the partition without
damaging the boot sequence?
Any HelpIs Greatly Appreciated!!
Thanks For Your Time,
Brian

Maybe you can change the drive letters back to what they were?
Right Click on "My Computer" and select "Manage"
In the Computer Management window, select "Disk Management" under "Storage"
Now, in the bottom right area of this window, you should be able to right
click on the partition, and select change drive letter and paths and change
it to something else other than C:.

I'm not sure if you will be able to change your Windows partition back to C:
though...maybe it won't let you when you're in the OS? Worth a shot maybe?
