Hi,

Can anyone point me to the right contact inside Microsoft. I have an OEM
version of XP Pro with SP1 on CD. My disk is damaged, it has a small crack
in the middle which can't be read and would like to get a replacement disc.
I am quite happy to send the old one back to MS, I just can't figure out
where to go or who to contact, the web site is too huge, even searching the
kb. Someone must have done it in the past or known someone that has.

Thanks in advance if you can.

You need to contact the vendor who supplied you with the CD. OEM support is
NOT carried out by MS.

If you have a branded OEM (like from Dell, Compaq or eMachines), you'll
have to contact the manufacturer who sold it to you. If you have a
generic OEM XP, get someone who has the same one, SP1, to burn you a
copy and you can use your product key with it.

My son had a similar problem, his dog had chewed his MS office CDrom,
It was an acadaemic version, cost him AUD$25.00 for a replacement
after he returned the chewed cdrom.
This was within the last 18 months.
