XP Pro can't find 'net despite no changes to hardware/software

Please Help,
I have been running XP for over a year now. I have not
made any hardware or software changes, my router is fine,
my cable modem is fine, my network card is working, none
of the cables have been touched, there are no viruses, etc.
I used the computer earlier in the day with no problems.
I came home from the gym and it can't find the internet
now. I have two computers on this router/cable modem, the
second one doesn't have this problem, or I couldn't post
this. I tried the "Repair" network connection function and
it came back with 2 messages: The repair program could
not "Renew the IP address" or Purge the DNS resolver
cache". I searched these topics at MS and got nada. I have
rebooted numerous times and even did a system restore to
an earlier date. All have been futile. Please help if you
have any suggestions. Thanks. Please email!

Have you tried reinstalling your network card drivers?
This has helped me in the past. Right-click on Computer
icon, and check to see if the card is working right. Make
sure that you have the drivers avaialble before deleting
them!!
