XP Pro cannot join NT Domain

XP pro SP1 trying to join NT 4.0 Domain controller.

Things I've tried:

1. Totally updating the NT 4.0 Server with latest service packs.
2. Set NetBIOS over TCP/IP in the WINS tab of TCP/IP
3. Added an entry to LMHosts file for the server.
4. Added entries to Host files on both machines so they can resolve names.
5. Added the IP Address of the server in the WINS area of the client.


I'm at a loss of what else to do other than upgrade the NT 4 Server to W2K.

Anyone else have any ideas on this?

what do you get if using net view \\servername command on xp?
