Hi, I really need help on this one. I have a Windows XP
pro workstation who simply doesn't not want to join our
Windows NT 4 domain.
I tried all of Microsoft's solution:
1- Activate Netbios over TCP/IP
2- Installing Net BEUI on the Windows XP pro
it simply doesn't work. The Windows XP cannot resolve
names! I can ping, from the XP workstation, every PC using
their IP addresses (we use static addresses here) but when
I try using the PC names, it doesn't work. I tried to add
manually the XP's name and Ip address to our WINS server,
it only allowed outside PC to ping the XP one by name, but
not the opposite.
Because of this, each time I want that XP workstation to
join our NT 4domain, I get an error saying it did not find
it.
If you have suggestions, I'd love to know.
