xp printing question

I can't print to a shared printer on another computer. I
keep getting a message that says "The printer properties
cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not
running." A check of the services on both machines says
it's running. Nothing related is in the Event Viewer. Any
ideas?
 
check and make sure you have the newest drivers installed on both machines,
if that fails you could try mapping the printer port to your machine, or do
what i do, and have a print server so it doesn't matter what machine is
switched on ;)

Often you have to install the drivers on YOUR PC as well. Also, make
sure the printer is set as a share.
