XP - power wouldn't go off as usual

Just now when I wanted to turn off the computer as usual, the screen
froze on the "logging out" image and the cursor wouldn't move.
ctrl-alt-del or pressing the power button did nothing. I had to PRESS
AND HOLD the power button and it turned off okay.

I think this is just a quirk of Windows, but do you know why it might
do that? It never did that before.

A single shutdown quirk is NOT an issue. If it continues, it may be an
issue. For all we know, you may have been connnected to some website
that continually downloads new info to internet cache.
