XP pc only seeing some files and folder

XP pc only seeing some files and folders on other XP machine. E.g. in a
folder that I know contains 8 files, I can only see 4. I can use Run to
execute the files that I can't see. Thanks in advance.

Both running SP2 with all updates. ZoneAlarm on both. Avast on one and AVG
on other.
