Our hard-drive crashed and we had to install a new one,
all the information on the old harddrive was readable
except for two of the users who had passwords installed
on the system, how can we access the information on the
new system when it won't recognise the passwords set up
on the old one?

the files are not encripted its just the two user
accounts on the old harddrive have passwords.

running a dell 4400 dimension.

Go to google and do a search for NTFSDOS to create a DOS boot disk that
will be able to see NTFS files. Then you can copy the files to the
floppy and move them over to the new drive.
