XP Password problem

Each time I log onto my system and enter my password, I
am asked whether I have forgotten my password. This
happens two or three times and then the password works.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this new problem?
 
Check to make sure Caps Lock key is not on, as passwords are case-sensitive.
