XP over Win2000

Can WindowsXP be istalled over Win2000 Professional? Are there any special
steps that need to be taken?

XP Pro can be installed as an upgrade over Windows 2000.
XP home cannot..
Run the compatibility wizard and follow all recommendations.

XP Professional can. XP Home can not.

Are there any
special steps that need to be taken?

It's always prudent to be sure you have a good backup of anything
you can't aford to lose. Nothing should go wrong, but there are
no guarantees.
