XP or Vista, choose on startup...how?

have a computer with Vista as it's primary, but would rather have XP as it
runs faster (I believe) and I am more familiar with it, but I don't want to
get rid of Vista...is there a way for me to have a "choose operating system"
option pop up each time I turn on the computer? Vista and XP use different
startup files and I didn't know how to properly edit Vista's startup as it
wasn't user friendly like XP's was...anyway to get it to work?

Yup. It's called "dual booting," and you'll see lots of references to that
in this newsgroup.
Please clarify: Do you now have both XP and Vista already installed on your
computer? If so, how did you get there? Did you install Vista on top of an
XP installation?

The easiest way to do this is to use VistaBootPRO.
