I have experenced the stangest situation using Office only
on my profile using Windows XP home edition iusing my
Presario 2700 laptop.

Anytime I type a document in Excel. Word Outlook, the
letters are delayed, almost like it is indexing or
something. And then the dialog boxes go haywire. It's to
the point where I can't even use them.

The strange thing is that when I use someone elses profile
in XP office works perfect.

Some where in office, xp, or my laptop something is not
set right.

Any suggestions.

Boot the machine using your own profile. Open Word, Excel, or
Outlook. Find the language bar and click on the microphone. That
will turn off "speech recognition". If that doesn't do it, open
Word, click Tools, Options, Spelling and Grammar. Turn off Check
Grammar and Spelling as you type.

regards.

CS,

Yes this makes perfect sense. Where do I find this
language bar - In windows or office? Thanks
