XP/Office 2K compatability

I bought a new Dell that has Coral on it. I have Office
2000 and Office 2000 Pro from my last computer. I tried to
install Office 2000 and it came up with a compatability
error. Can anyone tell me if Windows Office 2000 is
compatable with Windows XP Home Edition. If so, anything
special I need to do for it to install correctly - or did
I do something wrong?

Office 2000 is compatible with Windows XP. I did nothing special to install
it. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling again.
After uninstalling you might also try restoring to an earlier time as well
to make sure your registry is totally clean of the original Office 2000
install.

Have you checked with Corel (Coral) to see if MS Office and Corel can be installed at the same time? Or checked with Dell?

Office 2000 is fine by Windows XP - but may be conflicting with
something the Corel installation has put on
