xp no see internet

Cannot get onto the internet............tried to release,
renew..........using comcast cable as
the isp...........nic is working modem is working(pinged
to verify}......either it is defaulting
to microsofts ip (it was at one time) nothing has changed
to make this "problem" appear

Any help is greatly appreciated and if you need more info
just ask

Firewall maybe? Try putting your DNS servers in your firewall's Trusted
Zone. They are listed in IPCONFIG.
