From my laptop (Win2000) I can see my XP machine fine with appropriate access including internet
However from my XP machine I can see my laptop icon but when I attempt to open I get " xxxx\\ is not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The account is not authorized to log on from this station

I have run troubleshooting wizard with no success.

Hi Bill

Ensure you've enabled Simple File Sharing
Have you actually shared some directories on the laptop?
Disable internet connection firewall. Replace it with another one eg Zone
Alarm once you're sure your network's working. Disable all firewalls while
troubleshooting.
