eh..I don't know what cadagory this ought to go under..so
I chose the cover-all general..-.-;

Anyways- My computer was recently finished being built.
I've only just installed Windows XP (pro) yesterday, but I
already have a problem
After installing all my mother board drivers I restart,
everything seems to be loading normal- the Windows XP
loadup screen pops up, loads, then it goes to the part of
the startup where you'd expect for your desktop to pop up
in a few seconds. Mine doesn't; Instead, I get a small
error message about the User Load .Dll or somesuch..

it tells me, pretty much, that it's missing a file
called "ginamsi.dll" and therefor, cannot start up without
it. It also suggests that I replace said file, which, I
can only do in windows (or rather, only know how to do..),
windows, being the program that I cannot get into without
the file...

is their any fix? a simple solution, maybe? Preferably one
that does not require whiping the harddrive?
also- on a semi-related note, if I must remove and
reinstall windows, will any files I have on the computer
be removed as well? (I had the computer up for a little
over an hour..I sorta.."moved in a little" so to speak
before I remembered to install my drivers)

You have an MSI motherboard? :) If so then that probably is a MB driver that
was improperly installed from the MB driver disk. There should be /no/
reason to have to reinstall windows, try booting into safe mode and
installing the MB drivers again. Or you may have to use another computer to
DL newer and hopefully less broken drivers from the web. In safe mode you
might also try just uninstalling the MB drivers from the add/remove programs
control panel and see if that fixes it till you can DL newer drivers and try
again.
