Hi,
I'm running DSL thru SMC Barricade router.
I have 2 PC (XP Pro) on this router and one of them
behaves erraticly.
After certain period of time (not cosistent), PC#1 lost
connection with the router. I can't even connect to the
Admin page of the router.
IPCONFIG shows nothing abnormal
I use IP2 utility to detect my rouitable IP address
assigned by my ISP. When this problem occurs, I can't see
the IP address (unknow IP).

It's OK with the PC#2

On PC#1, when I logged off and logged back in, everything
is back to normal for a while and the problem comes back
later on.

Any advise please...

Here's a guess:
in control panel/system open the hardware manager.
Click your network adapter/properties
In the power management tab, make sure that "allow to be
turned off to save power" is not enabled.
This could cause the problem that you describe...
