I log into windows xp with the original user account
created during installation. On the welcome screen I can
see it says "loading your personal settings". Suddenly it
then says "Logging off" then "saving your settings" then
goes back to the welcome screen. I have tried logging in
as ADMINISTRATOR, still no luck. I have also tried
repairing the installation using the winxp CD. I have seen
something like this on my system once before and
discovered activation was required. I have activated this
install of windows already and used the computer for many
months since. Does windows want me to activate again? If
so why does it say nothing about activation now? I have
tried all of the above in safe mode also and still
nothing. Please help me somebody! I have many programs I
have not backed up and can't afford to format and re-
install.
