Already done all that. I have heard that XP will look out across a local network looking for connections at login that it doesn't necessarily need to and that is why it takes so long to load a user. There is supposed to be a setting in XP to change that, however I can't find it. Does anyone know what it is

If you have the Firewall thing enabled in XP, try to disable it to see if i
makes any difference
If it works, something is trying to dial out from your computer. Get a cop
of Firewall program to see what is trying to dial out from your computer
If none of the above help, get a copy of HiJackThis and then copy what i
finds and search the web for more information
If that does not work, check to see if you have enough memory to run XP. Ge
at least 512 meg
