Users on our PCs are not permitted to install or configure hardware.
When an admin installs a logitech cordless mouse, it works fine for all
admin/power users.
When a "standard" user logs in, they get an error when it would
normally ask them to configure the mouse. Is there a way to disable
this configuration stage - ie to perform an "administrative" install of
the device ?

Any alternative solutions welcome - other than give the users the
rights to install hardware, as it isn't an option...

Dave.

Is it possible that when the hardware was installed the config files
and drivers were saved in a directory only accessible to the admin
account? What if you reinstalled hardware and created a folder in the
shared directory?

Hmmm...I am a Limited User at work, and one of our desktop guys (who has
Administrator permissions) recently installed Setpoint 2.6 on my
computer. I have no problem working with the software. I suggest you
reinstall the software, being sure to install it in the user's account.
Failing that I would contact Logitech technical support.
