XP Login screen

I don't exactly know how to word this question but I am goingto try. I am
connected to a WIFI or wireless network, and I used to be a ble to log in
just like any normal XP computer;blue screen and all. Now when I want to log
in the back of the screen is black and it has a log in prompt like I was part
of a domain, except the only options are username and password. Could I be
part of a work group somehow, how would I get off it? Or better yet how do I
get that black screen off and revert back to a normal XP login. What would
happen if I got off of the WIFI and left its range, would I still have that
black background log in?
I tried to ask the question the best I could, thanks for any help you can
give me after you desipher my questions.

Try going into the Control Panel/User Accounts & click on 'Change the way
users log on or off' & select 'Use the welcome screen'.
