if we want to upgrade several windows 2000 to winxp prof. and we purchase an
open license, how is this done with the windows key?
can you use the windows key for these several pc's?

Since by entering into a VL agreement, you are agreeing to have your
software audited, you probably would want to get a license for each
computer. All it takes is one disgruntled employee, and the BSA is on
your ass, any they'll want many thousands of dollars from your company.

Open License means the Windows key is valid for X number of PCS.

If you buy for 5 PCs, the key is good for 5.

No, you need a separate key/licence for each PC.
